Who we work with

“Anything that is ‘wrong’ with you,

began as a coping mechanism in

childhood.”

–  Gabor Mate

Our therapists and mentors understand that maladaptive behaviour is not a reflection of the true self of a young person or child.  We foster relationships with commitment and authenticity providing a safe place to nurture a sense of self and their potential.

When working with families, we focus on holding space for the inner child of the adult whilst helping parents and carers to parent with playfulness, attunement, curiosity and empathy.

Many of our practitioners have a strong background in working with looked after children- we ensure that any such referrals are matched with them.

Below is a list of examples for referral, it is not limited and we are here to help if your referral does not meet any of these definitions:

Where we work

The support we offer is tailored to the needs of each individual within the setting that best suits their needs and supports their education, wellbeing and safety.

We aim to deliver flexible support within the community whether it be at a young person’s school or a local playing field.

We are also incredibly fortunate to have a countywide network of venues and partnerships varying from beautiful natural settings to sports centres.

For instance, if working with a young person while their family is transitioning to a refuge – we may have our initial sessions in their school and then relocate to a family centre near their refuge.
